I've been working on our family tree on and off for over twenty-five years. When my Mom died in 1995 it occurred to me I was now part of the older generation. I decided to organize a worldwide family reunion.

It took me two years of letter writing and planning but in June of 1997 I put on the first Muellerleile Family Reunion. One hundred and fifty relatives from across the US and Germany attended a three day event in Iowa. Three months later I attended the Muellerleile Family Reunion in Germany with one hundred and forty others (fourteen from the US).

Intoxicated with my success I immediately started on my maternal side. In 1999 I put on the Keaney Clan Reunion, also in Iowa. We had a lively turn-out which lead to a Keaney Clan Reunion in 2002 in Ireland. Regrettably I had to miss that as I was working on LIFE WITH BONNIE.

I have sinse turned over my genealogy efforts to other family members. I still receive information but I no longer pursue it.

I am scheduled to attend the Muellerleile Family Reunion in Germany, June 2009.
